Energy Society© is a local consortium of the environmentally aware. We are environmentalists, engineers, architects, energy specialists, educators, manufacturers, building managers, construction trades, and others who are committed to improving Delaware's environment.
Energy Society is the official Delaware Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (Non-Profit ID# 58-130-6354) with over 8,000 dedicated members. If you would like more information or how to become involved, please contact us at 302.239.5253 or via e-mail

Cynthia Lanier, President, states; “We are approaching Delaware like a finely tuned automobile. First, we inspect every inch of it, correct what needs to be fixed or replaced and then monitor how it “runs” every minute of the day. Much like a car, we can diagnosis and correct the problem before it becomes serious. This may sound simplistic yet, with all of our combined experience and modern technology, it is not only possible but realistic."

Founders Message

Thank you for visiting. I am the 3rd generation of a 5th generation native Delaware family and welcome you to this web site which I trust you will find informative.
My summary of our current environmental conditions is found in the quote below, written by a true steward of Mother Nature and serves as a reminder to those of today who are working towards a better tomorrow.

"The white man is a stranger who comes in the night and takes from the earth whatever he needs...The Earth is not his brother but his enemy, and when he has conquered it, he moves on. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth, befalls the Sons of Earth. Continue to contaminate your bed and you will one night suffocate in your own waste."

This was written in 1855 by Chief Seattle in a letter to President Franklin Pierce. We offer you to review our web site for ways to find help and those to support. If you like, you may reach me anytime via e-mail or at my home/office (302.239.5253) where, if I am not immediately available, I will return your call promptly. Any suggestions or comments are always welcomed.

Very truly,
